LImages

                                                    I love this little one!

I was just delighted to have been able to get TWO hawks in one shot!  Never before did I see the feather pattern underneath the wings like this. They glide with such ease!

He must have just eaten, to sit for so long and not fly away.  Boy was he being pestered by the other birds in the area.

I made this card, showing many of the birds we've been able to see over the years:  Stellar Jay in Alaska, the Goldfinch in our backyard, Sandpiper in Alaska, the Red-breasted Grosbeak at our feeder, Woodpecker in our tree by the driveway, Bluebird in the cemetery, Turkey Vultures on the church weathervane and the Magpie in Anchorage.

Mark sighted this Blue Heron  in the Staatsburg area.

Such glorious color!  God's special gift to us after such a long and dreary winter!

His red head was a dead give away.  I followed the sound of his tapping in order to see where he was.   It echoes all around us in the cold, crisp air.

A precious moment captured at the Chupay's one Summer's evening.

A pheasant we've seen a few times in our front yard.   2009

Never saw large birds like this, perched on the weathervane before. Turkey Vultures on our weathervane!      2009
